Saturday 11/20/10 - Pacelining Clinic...Almost!

Even though the forecast for this past Saturday 11/20 was for rain, rain, and more rain, the cycling team still met up at the corner of Canada and Edgewood to do a clinic on pacelining. If it's too bad, then we will not start. But as of gametime, around 8:30am, the weather was actually pretty nice.

A lot of new folks to cycling don't know what pacelining is and why we do it, so several of the coaches did an off-bike demonstration.

After that, we broke up into groups and headed out.  Unfortunately, after about 3 miles in, the weather really turned bad and it started to pour.  The head coach, Patrick caught up to the individual teams and cancelled the rest of the training day.

Looks like we will have to reschedule the pacelining clinic since it's such an important part of riding efficiently, especially on a century!
